We stayed for two nights, ironically at the same time as the wildly negative review below. I’m having a hard time understanding how it’s even possible we came to the same hotel! The room we stayed in was the hot tub room, just as I expected it to look like. Really lovely. I asked about a table and chairs on the patio, I thought I recalled them in the pics. They said no generally there aren’t any in this room but they’re happy to bring them. So they brought us a table and chairs. (Note here to the hotel: the patios are so nice they really should just all have some seating there for guests to enjoy, it’s really my only improvement suggestion!) The beach is small and they do a great job of cleaning it. It’s not a sprawling wide beach, but it makes up for that in being natural, relatively unspoiled and tranquil. The pool is beautiful, it really adds to the atmosphere. We didn’t get into it since we kinda had a private “pool” with the tub but to the negative comment below, I’ve no idea of why they would heat it in this climate. I didn’t get any draconian rules, just a text with some basic, common sense requests — like smoking, quiet hours, etc. The only one worth mentioning is they don’t generally allow outside food on the property and change a corking fee if you bring your own booze. Both reasonable requests. Also, we are vegan and I got in touch with them ahead of time. They had no issue with allowing us to bring our own breakfast stuff and sent me a vegan menu they can arrange. The food was DELICIOUS. It was so carefully prepared, very thoughtful. I’ve been to places before that claim they can accommodate and then just serve some watered down version of a dish. This was really phenomenal and very much appreciated. The staff and the attention here is five star quality at least in our experience. Everyone was absolutely delightful, friendly, considerate. We really felt like people were going out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. In all, an incredible way to spend a couple of nights. I guess it just depends on what you’re looking for!

To cap off a trip with my girlfriend, I booked a 2 night stay at Casa Ku - which we were initially drawn to by the advertised quiet and kid-free atmosphere. We had such an amazing time and spent the trip fully relaxed. Its a quiet spot where you can disconnect and recharge. The staff was friendly, attentive and quite accommodating. I highly recommend booking the Deep Relief massage - it was quite rejuvenating! We would love to return someday.

Loved this hotel! This area is predominantly visited by Mexicans, so for some, navigating the entire San Bruno and Progreso region might be challenging without speaking Spanish. However, everyone here is incredibly friendly and helpful (we do speak Spanish, though!). On to the hotel… we stayed in the Oceanfront King for 4 nights and if you need to turn off your phone and detox from the world, I haven’t been to a better place to do so. The room is literally less than 20 steps to the beach with a beautiful view of the ocean as soon as you open your bedroom doors. The beach was deserted and beautiful. The WiFi in our room was far from ideal, but I didn’t mind at all. I was there to detox from my phone and technology and the poor WiFi actually helped me stay off my phone. The bathroom is literally outside your bedroom, so you’ll have to leave your room to use it. While it was fine for my husband and me, I would have changed one thing about the room: having a door directly from the room to the bathroom. There weren’t many people at the resort, so it was private enough for us, but I can see how it could be awkward for some if it were busier and the beach were packed. The restaurant is quite strong, and despite reading reviews that mentioned it being slow, I found the pace to be quite pleasant. I believe the ‘slow’ pace is simply the normal pace of dining in Mexico. Coming from Miami, where restaurants feel rushed due to the constant hurry, it was refreshing to experience a place that prioritizes a relaxed dining atmosphere. In Mexico, dining is still an art form, and this restaurant embodies that. The pool area is conveniently located right off the restaurant. Although it may not seem as large as the photos show, it was indeed beautiful and perfectly suited for my liking. The pool’s size was sufficient to provide a refreshing cool-off when needed. The area was stunning and beautifully designed! The staff was really nice and Jesus is a really proud local and kindly served us so well during our entire stay. He was so wonderful and made sure that we were really happy with everything. Gracias Jesus por todo! There is also a cute dog ‘Negrita’ who is a sweetie and hangs out around the hotel. She’s friendly and super chill. I enjoyed having her around since i am a dog person and left my furbaby at home! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will definitely return. It had a Tulum vibe, but with significantly fewer people, which made it even more enjoyable. I want to express my gratitude to everyone at Casa Ku for providing an unforgettable experience.

We loved our time at Casa Ku. The vibe was exactly what we were looking for. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Special shoutout to the bartenders, especially Josue. My wife is pregnant and he went out of his way to come up with tasty mocktails for her all week. Great guy! He and the manager also surprised us with a beautiful gender reveal dinner. I asked for something simple (a blue or pink drink) and what they came up with was 10x better. Amazing service, beautiful beach, good music *chefs kiss* Oh and the A/C in our room was incredible

We got one of the rooms that are on the beach, it’s definitely worth it. Everything it’s exactly as depicted in their website. They do need to improve on the restaurant supplies, tacos were amazing (fish tacos stranded out). Service form Jesus (at the beach and restaurant) was outstanding!!. We stayed for two nights and were very satisfied.

Wow wow wow … I love writing reviews for experiences that just leave you speechless. From the moment we got to this hotel, we were greeted by Daniel and Elizabeth, who spoke great English and walked us through everything we needed to know about our stay. They were positive, super sweet and welcoming! During our stay we had an amazing time with the service, the staff and the food! During dinners the chef would greet us and walk us through the menus. This made our experience so pleasant. Noting that we also had the best and most fresh fish during our stay! It was so good that we had it two nights in a row. During the day, the staff checked in with us regularly, whether we were by our rooms and or by the beach. They constantly made sure we had everything we needed and made sure that we would get our orders for drinks and food immediately. My mom had a peanut allergy, so they accommodated and revised any food that may have had been exposed to peanuts and made sure to mention it to us, which was so reassuring. The beach and the hotel are clean, quiet and make for a perfect and relaxing experience. All that to the side, on our last day we were having troubles finding a car to head back to Merida and the manager (Elizabeth) offered to give us a ride back with the hotel vehicle. We were amazed at all their gestures and doings to make sure we had an amazing stay! All areas of the resort had wifi and I was able to work remotely as well. Just have to make sure to connect to the specific wifi that has the best service in a given area. All in all, the staff and the service is what made our stay for us and the hotel on top of all that .. was exactly as advertised. A special thank you to Daniel and Elizabeth for making our stay so comfortable. Highly recommend it!
